Unbelievably it's been over 5 months since last posting a news article! Does that mean nothing
has been happening? Quite the contrarary.
Here are just a few highlights:
- Numerous software upgrades
- Numerous new clients
- Control Panel is getting close to completion
- Teaching a course a database Metrostate University
- Possible contracts in Alaska!
- Partnership with Fastconcepts.com on new server acquisition
The last bullet is worth talking about a little bit more.
Fastconcepts.com is an ISP I have been working for routinely for about 4 years now.
We have decided to pool our resources together to provide a better hosting solution to
our combined clients. My current hosting configuration is very stable and solid. Downtime
has been extremely rare and usually because of an operator (me) error. Unfortunately, I
am not able to provide as many resources to my clients as Fastconcepts.com. Fastconcepts.com's
current server has not been as stable due to mis-configured and out of date software and
hardware. By pooling our resources together we are providing both of our clients with
a better hosting solution. Fastconcepts.com clients will have a more stable hosting environment,
Netbits, Inc. clients will have more resources (bandwidth, memory, etc.) at their disposal.
The new server should be ready by 2004 and will be located out of state in a secure
hosting facility. It will have dual Xeon 2.4 Ghz CPU's, 1 GB of memory, and dedicated bandwidth.
More news will be released as we near conversion.
